Who we are

BuyThisBusiness provides tools to browse business listings, review job listings, and use informational analysis features. This Privacy Policy describes the product as it works today. It does not claim that we are a licensed professional firm.

Information you may provide

If you create an account, we use that sign-in so you can access account features such as saved jobs, saved businesses, and other tools you choose to use. Information you type into those tools (for example a saved listing, a buying goal, or a request for seller information) is kept so the product can show it back to you.

You do not have to create an account to read this policy or to browse public pages.

Documents

Analyze Documents reads files in your browser first. BuyThisBusiness does not permanently store the original files. If you are signed in, document analysis automatically sends a copy of each selected file to the configured AI provider to extract labeled facts and is not kept by BuyThisBusiness after that request. Browser extraction still runs as the validation/fallback. Refreshing the page or signing out clears the file from that page. Resume import also reads PDF, DOC, or DOCX files in your browser to fill resume fields for your review. The original resume file is not stored; only the resume details you choose to save are kept with your account.

Request Information does not include a file upload. BuyThisBusiness does not permanently store a seller’s confidential financial documents. The seller may provide documents directly to you.

Listings and third-party information

Business listings and job listings may include information from third parties, including employers, sellers, and job-board sources. That information is shown so you can review it. It is not a statement by BuyThisBusiness that the listing is complete, current, or accurate.

How information is used

Account and product information is used to operate the pages and tools you use: signing in, saving items you choose to save, showing your dashboards, storing a private resume you save, and remembering applications you submit through the product to jobs posted by BuyThisBusiness owners, and applications you choose to mark as applied after visiting an employer’s site. Marking an external job as applied is your own record. BuyThisBusiness does not submit or receive that external application. We do not use Analyze Documents files as a stored dataset, because those files stay in your browser.

Cookies and sign-in

Sign-in uses the account session needed to keep you signed in while you use the site. The product also uses a CAPTCHA check on sign-in to reduce automated abuse. BuyThisBusiness uses Google AdSense on supported public content pages. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, device or browser identifiers, and similar technologies to serve, limit, measure, and personalize ads as permitted by your settings and applicable law. Domains and professional email

If you buy or transfer a domain through BuyThisBusiness, we collect the registrant and administrative contact details required to process and manage the registration, such as name, organization, address, phone number, and email address. BTB stores registrar contact data in restricted server-side storage and sends the information needed for the transaction to the upstream registrar, registry, or verification provider. Registration-data publication and redaction are governed by applicable registry, registrar, privacy, and ICANN requirements.

Domain authorization/EPP codes are treated as sensitive credentials. BTB does not place them in public URLs or public pages. When BTB manages DNS, DNS records needed for your website or professional email may be sent to the DNS/registrar provider.

For professional email, BTB stores service identifiers, mailbox or forwarding addresses, service status, and billing references needed to manage the service. A generated initial mailbox password is stored only in protected server-side data long enough to provide the one-time setup view and is then removed from that BTB order record after it is revealed. Email service is provided through the configured upstream email provider.

Business Services payments are processed through Stripe. BTB stores payment status, order identifiers, subscription identifiers, and limited billing references needed for renewals and support; BTB does not store your full payment-card number. Some domain, email, payment, and audit records may be retained when required for registration obligations, fraud prevention, disputes, security, taxes, financial recordkeeping, or other legal compliance.

Your choices

You can sign out at any time. You can unsave jobs or businesses you previously saved. You can stop using analysis tools and avoid selecting documents on Analyze Documents. If you do not want an account, do not sign in.

AI features

When you use Deal AI, Document AI, Offer AI, Owner AI, Career AI, Astra Website Builder, Marketing Studio, App Studio, or Game Studio while signed in, BuyThisBusiness sends a compact verified context (and, for document analysis, a copy of each selected file) to the configured AI provider to generate an answer or draft. Marketing Studio can also store campaign projects and video job metadata in your account. BuyThisBusiness handles your saved business context and creative instructions; when you use video editing or rendering, media, project instructions, and render settings may be sent to Shotstack to process previews and rendered video outputs. BuyThisBusiness does not keep original Analyze Documents files after the request. AI outputs can be wrong; verify figures against your source records.

First-time eligible Buyer Pro ($19.99), Owner Pro ($29.99), and All Access ($49.99) subscriptions may include a 5-day trial with smaller AI usage caps. The $9.99 Storefront has no free trial. Existing trial end dates are unchanged. After trial, monthly AI usage limits apply by plan. Payment method is required for paid trials. Web subscriptions are processed through Stripe. Subscriptions purchased in the Android app are managed by Google Play, and subscriptions purchased in a future iOS app are managed by Apple.

BTB Social content and export

BTB Social stores your profile details and content you choose to submit, including posts, Stories and media files. Published posts may be viewed or shared according to the audience and community settings. Unpublished uploads and private conversations use restricted access controls, and reported content may be inspected for safety and copyright review.

Followers and following lists for active BTB Social creator profiles are visible to visitors. The official @buythisbusiness account is an exception: its connection lists are visible only to the account owner. Follower and following counts reflect actual connections; blocking and account moderation may limit who appears in lists.

In BTB Social settings, an authenticated creator can request a JSON copy of their own profile, posts, comments, Stories and brand drafts. Where original uploads are still stored and attached to their own content, the export provides separate, private download links valid for 15 minutes. It is not an archive of messages, follower identities, third-party licensed Reels or other BTB products. Some deleted or unavailable media may not be retrievable. Access to the export is limited to the account owner; don't share the export file or temporary download URLs with others.

Exporting a copy does not delete, transfer or license content to another platform. BTB Social removal requests and whole-account deletion remain separate actions. Questions about content rights and any AI-related processing should be reviewed alongside our Terms and this Policy; we do not treat downloading content as consent to additional uses.

BTB Social messages and voice notes

BTB Social private messages and media attachments are stored in restricted storage and presented only through authenticated conversation access with time-limited media links. Private video attachments require review by authorized BTB moderators before delivery, and may be rejected; recipients cannot access pending or rejected videos. Messages may be reported for moderation and safety review. Short voice notes are sent to our configured AI speech-transcription provider for transcription and content screening before delivery. The resulting transcript is stored with the message and visible to both conversation participants. Voice-note processing can fail closed when transcription or moderation is unavailable. Do not record other people without their consent or send sensitive personal data.

App Studio and Game Studio project data

When you use App Studio or Game Studio, BuyThisBusiness may store your project intake, AI build plan, confirmed scope, quote and payment status, milestones, preview links, project messages, revision requests, and files you intentionally attach to the project. Project files are stored in restricted project storage and are opened through time-limited signed links when supported by the storage service.

To create an AI build plan or use self-service Studio AI, BTB sends the project details, prompts, and project context needed for that request to the configured AI provider. If you use Game Art AI, the art prompt and related project context are sent to the configured image-generation provider; the generated image is then stored in your restricted Studio project storage so you can reuse it in the builder and exports. BTB may also store AI usage records such as model, action type, token counts where available, and BTB credits consumed so limits and support adjustments can be managed.

During managed fulfillment, only project information and assets reasonably needed to perform the work may be used with development, creative, hosting, testing, distribution, or other production tools selected for that project. Web project payments are processed through Stripe; BTB stores payment and checkout status rather than your full payment-card number.

Do not upload passwords, private API keys, signing keys, or other secrets in ordinary Studio messages or project files. If publishing requires access to a third-party developer or store account, use that provider's official invitation or delegated-access process. Some project/payment records may be retained when needed for security, fraud prevention, dispute handling, legal compliance, or financial recordkeeping.

Rewards and reward fulfillment

If you use BTB Rewards, we may process account identifiers, verified activity records, reward-point events, eligibility signals, redemption status, and anti-abuse information needed to operate and protect the program. Reward eligibility is evaluated from BTB records and supported connected-system records; self-reported amounts are not treated as verified cash-value events.

Invite & Earn may also process a referral code, the referring and referred BTB account identifiers, referral status, qualifying-event type, and timestamps needed to attribute a referral, enforce limits, and prevent self-referrals, duplicates, and abuse. The referring member is shown aggregate referral progress rather than the referred member's email address or private account data.

Optional Partner Earnings records may include an opted-in member's existing BTB referral code, approved-offer links, permitted promotion and approval references, daily deduplicated link visits, hashed visitor signals used for anti-abuse (rather than displaying visitors' identities), provider conversion identifiers, actual commission receipts, splits, statements, reversals, and payout confirmation references. Only the relevant signed-in account and authorized BTB operators may access nonpublic Partner Earnings records. External affiliate income notes are private, user-entered estimates or payment records, not BTB-verified balances or commissions owed by BTB.

BTB may also process daily check-in dates, streak counts, verified challenge progress, and sponsored-campaign completion records to operate Rewards, enforce limits, prevent duplicate awards, and measure program performance.

For sponsored, affiliate-funded, membership, learning, or video campaigns, BTB may process the campaign identifier, eligibility event, plan status where relevant, sponsor or partner label, claim status, timestamps, business attribution, and anti-abuse signals. BTB does not treat an affiliate click, page view, or video play by itself as proof that a reward requirement was completed.

When you redeem an external reward, BTB may send the approved rewards provider the information needed to fulfill it, such as your name, email address, reward value, currency, campaign or product selection, and an idempotent redemption identifier. BTB does not send the provider your BTB password. Reward and transaction records may be retained when needed for fraud prevention, dispute handling, accounting, tax, security, or legal compliance.

Informational tools

Deal Analyzer, financing information, business analysis, job information, and document analysis are informational tools only. They are not financial, legal, tax, accounting, lending, or investment advice.

Account removal

Signed-in users can open Account Settings to permanently remove their BuyThisBusiness account and user-owned BTB data. BTB web subscriptions are stopped as part of account removal. Google Play or App Store subscriptions must be canceled in the store that controls the renewal. Some information may be retained when required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute handling, or financial recordkeeping.

If this product changes how information is handled, this page will be updated to match the product. The heading on this page is the current policy for the site you are using.
